On the Clock: Passive Timekeeping Mixes in AI

Timekeeping on paper was certainly the worst.

Timekeeping using manual software timers, isn’t much better.

The fact is: no one likes keeping time.  Even the act of stopping and writing down your time impedes the flow of work.  Effectively, work product is improved – if lawyers are able to get into a flow state.

That’s why passive timekeeping tools are so appealing to attorneys.  The standard version of these products are device agnostic, and keep track of your time, on various platforms – live, and in the background – while you work.  Products like Chrometa and Toggl have been around for a while; but, now – artificial intelligence is beginning to infiltrate these tools, which makes them even easier to use, and more effective.

New tools or revised programs, like WiseTime or BillablesAI, incorporate artificial intelligence to assist in not just traditional time tracking, but also activity identification and labeling, as well as reporting.
