Block Party: Blocking Time Is Essential for Workflow

Have you ever thought to yourself: ‘I never can get any work done; I’m always getting interrupted.’     Well, you feel that way, because it’s true. It’s impossible to concentrate, when you’re being interrupted constantly .  On average, simply checking an email will get you off-task for 17 minutes!     If you don’t get any focus time, it’s really hard push through any project; and, the world as presently constituted, is rife with distractions.     That means that if you want to get really efficient, you need to create your own space.   Don’t give into urgency addiction, and respond to every stimuli ; instead: block out time, and shut out distractions.     Finding your own ‘power hours ’, when you’re at your most efficient, and can be distraction-free for at least 2 hours, will do wonders for your productivity.     . . .     Wanna get way more productive ?  Let’s block off some time, to get it done. ...
